Reflection

Since this is the last week of school, I'll show you what my experiences were as a blogger. Well first of all, it was fun and interesting. I got to explore the world of cyberspace. I got to see new blogs and mess around with the program. You know, it feels pretty exciting to write something about that the whole world can see. I try to be a fun person in my writing.
In order for me to become a good blogger, I went and looked at some blogs. I looked at cake wrecks which was funny and 1000 awesome things, which was interesting. These are my two favorite blogs because they had the two main things I wanted in my blog. Funny and interesting
Well since this is the last week of school, i want to end fresh. So I'm sure that I won't blog during vacation. I want to enjoy my vacation and become empty minded .

Advice Column (Book Hunting)

If a student came to me and ask me what books I recommended to him. Well. since he wants to reach 1/2 a million by the end of this month , I'll recommend some pretty hard and long books. First book I want to recommend is The Fire Within. I found this book beacause it was a book I read before. It's a combination of a mystery and adventure so I bet you'll enjoy it. I would aslo recommend to you Stormbreaker. This book is a great adventure book. It's like a kid friendly agent 007. This book has action and adventure and a touch of mystery. I believe you'll enjoy htis book. These are the best beacause they are interesting to me. Anything interesting to me is a good book..

Advice Colunm (Library Prepareness)

O oh, murphy is on a meeting and rodriguez is on vacation so who will help us? Cristina!! Sadly she is sick so we have a sub. What four things we can do to prepare the library for the next day? Well this is what I think we have to do:
1. Clean up the Library- leave the library in tip-top shape so the next day it'll be read to do about,
2. Turn of the computers- We don't want to waste electricity, do we?
3. Turn of the lights- same as 2.
and finally...
4. Lock the doors- we don't want to be stolen do we? aslo it's the most important thing to do. we also don't want to forget the keys and get us locked out!

Also we will show you how to check out books and shelve easy fiction and supernatural fiction. All that on the first day. These are the main first things I showed her because these are the things we do daily. Without that she will be doing vertually nothing.

R's Comments (Book Review Sites)

I went and got a glimpsed of book review sites such as YA Book Central, Teen Reads, and Reading Rants. I first looked at YA and what i liked about it was that it had a search egine to search for other book reviews based on title or author. Also I believe it was Reading Rants that had a country style background. Anyways I saw that Teen Reads had a review on Diary of a Wimpy Kid and it was pretty interesting. so that's it.

Advice Column (Sexual Health)

For those 7th graders that need to learn about sexual themes, but are embarrased to ask where to get websites, here are some tips that may help you get what you need. First of all go to the school website laamschampions.org, then click on the link LIBRARY. After you clicked the link, now click on the link that says LINKS after, change the section and pick HEALTH AND YOUR BODY a then whala! Now choose any of those links and start working on your project. I strongly recommend Teen's Health, Teen Source, and Teen Wire. On Teen's source, click on Drugs and Alcohol and there you have folks. These are the best sources because they give good information and are not afraid to show some stuff. Hope this has been good help

Game Rating: (Uncharted 2: Among Thieves)

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Developer: Naughty Dog

Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment

Go on a quest to find the lost fleet of Marco Polo and find surprises along the way. Uncharted Drake's Fortune was the best looking game on the PS3 system, that is until Uncharted 2 came. Now with more characters, more content, more length, and online gaming, Uncharted 2 now gives us the best looking game on the PlayStation 3.

Graphics- Uncharted 2 Among Thieves has the best looking graphics than any game. In fact it won Best Graphics at the VGA. Also there are many things the AI does. For example, he covers his face in hot temperatures/ near fire. Also when Drake walks in the snow it kind of like a magic trick.

Online Gaming- One of the most addicting online gaming I've seen. You are going to spend hours and hours playing death matches or co-op. With long missions you are really going to have a blast. That's all i got to say about it. Anyways heres the score

Graphics: 10

Online Gaming: 9.4

Total: 9.7

R's Comments

http://www.eoincolfer.com/

http://www.anthonyhorowitz.com/

Which one is better? First of all they are not my, should I say, favorite authors. So I didn't find them appealing as much as the fans of these authors. What can I say? Different Tastes? Anyways I preferred (please don't hate me fans of the other author) Anthony Horowitz's site. One of the only reasons I liked this site was because the colors of the site. It has cool colors, colors can change somebody's opinion. I preffer blue and green than purple and green. Also Horowitz's site has good advertisement. I mean once you first see the site, the advertisement really captures your eye. I'm talking about the Crocodile Tears advertisement. A great advertisement. If you don't want to take my word for it, go the sites listed above and see for yourselef.

R's Comments (author's assignment)

Book Title: Heroes a Novel

Author: Robert Cormier

Summary: This book is about a veteran that earned a Silver Star of Honor

but he wants to kill his childhood hero. Although he is only 18 he has no face, no eyes and no ears. He believes his act of courage is an act of murder.

Review: anyways this book has been a charming read. It has some moments of mystery, some intense moments, and some relief moments. To be honest this book was an okay experience because of...

SPOILER ALERT:

the narrator talking too much about his girlfriend. Like about half the book is about him talking about his girlfriend. Also because of his girlfriend, he wants to kill his hero. If they talk less about the girlfriend and more about the killing, it might of been a good.

Recommendation: If you don't like my review but think the book is interesting go check out the book yourself

R's Comments (Student Led Conference)

It's Thursday, Febuary 18, the day of Student Led Confrences. First of all, if you want to know if I'm going, well, I'm not. I'm going to take the bus home and chillax or play vidoe games. Any ways, for those of you that are I honestly feel sorry for but look in the bright side, if you go to the library they are giving away free books. Yes I'm advertising for the library. Go to the Library and Take Free Books! Yeah! Also it would be better if it was parent confrences because parent are going to ask questions anyways on student led confrences and expect the teachers to give them a speech about how thier kid is doing. Well that's all i got to say so good luck kids

R's Comments (cake wrecks)

Before I say anything, just look at this photo labeled The Most Disturbing Cake Ever

Out of all the cake wrecks I've chosen this because it's hilarious, akward and most of all disturbing. I mean who would even take a bite out of this cake, seriously. It also looks so real to even take a bite out of it. Would you eat this cake? To bite or not to bite, that is the question. And to answer the question vote on my blog poll. If you take a look on this blog you'll probably enjoy it. Just click on the link Cake Wrecks

Game Rating (lbp goty part 2)

Content (customize)-(to make it more fun, talk in a british accent while reading this) In the featured game, you are a sack puppet. You can customize him anyway you have and in the game of the year version there are costume packs you can choose like history pack, monsters pack, animal pack and metal gear solid pack. In the metal gear solid pack you can dress him up as Scream or as Snake and look mad. In the monster pack you can dress him as dinosaurs and cause destruction or a more peaceful costume can be a penguin, yes you can dress him as a penguin or a gorilla or a lion in the animal pack. But you don't have to dress him in one the packs you can just dress him any way you like. For example, he can have a baseball hat or mask. Just let your imagination run wild and have a unique sack puppet. (part 3 to be continued)
